Sitting behind a wheel for continuous stretches of time is indeed difficult and can be monotonous. However, despite the sedentary nature of your work, getting into the habit of binge eating out of boredom, is not a justifiable excuse.
In case you yourself are not aware of doing it consciously, binge eating is when you overeat even though you are full or not really feeling hungry. If you eat without inhibitions at all times of the day, you are likely to be binge eating. Eating and then overeating merely as an activity to pass time because you have no other way to keep your mind and body engaged, can lead to damaging effects to your health.
Although once or twice in awhile may not be dangerous, long-term binging is hazardous. Apart from obesity, it can lead to depression, anxiety, stress, and even substance abuse.

Find ways to entertain yourself
People usually turn to eat when they’re bored with nothing else to do. So, keep yourself entertained at all times. Listen to radio or podcasts on topics that interest you to ensure that you don’t get bored during driving.
Increase mindfulness
Exercise regularly and try to incorporate yoga in your daily routine. It sharpens your mind and keeps you focused on the right tasks.
Don’t skip meals
No matter what your duty calls for, you must take your meals at their proper times. Delaying or skipping meals ultimately leads you to eat more than you actually need.
Eat a balanced diet
Ensure your diet consists of sufficient nutrients that you require. Your meals should contain the recommended daily intake of proteins, carbohydrates, fats, and other vitamins and minerals.
Stay hydrated
Often sidetracked, water plays a vital role here. Consuming an adequate amount of water daily will ensure proper digestion hence, preventing you from eating unnecessarily.
